Representative Lou Barletta proudly represents the people of Pennsylvania?s 11th Congressional District. He began his second term on January 3, 2013.
As a small business owner, Representative Barletta saw how government regulation and taxes could affect the bottom line. And, as mayor of Hazleton, he was able to turn around the city by making tough, fiscally responsible decisions.
Last year, Representative Barletta was appointed Chairman of the Economic Development, Public Buildings, and Emergency Management Subcommittee on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
In January 2014, he was named a member of a special House panel, which will focus on public-private partnerships across all modes of transportation, economic development, public buildings, and infrastructure.
In addition to the Transportation Committee, Representative Barletta serves on the House Education and the Workforce Committee and the House Homeland Security Committee.
Lou and his wife Mary Grace live in Hazleton. They have four grown daughters and two grandchildren.
