The theme of this year's seven sessions is "A People and a Land." To a lesser but no less significant degree than the urban areas of the eastern seaboard, the Cumberland Valley was settled by waves of different peoples, what they found here and what they made of it are ways to tell the history of the area from the pre-colonial Native Americans to the 21st Century. The series consists of lectures and audience discussion. It will be enhanced with PowerPoint tours of relevant county sites and objects of interest from local collections and the Historical society's archives.
