About the Trip
The Carlisle Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a trip for 24 travelers on Collette’s Canadian Rockies by Train Featuring the Calgary Stampede (July 4 – 12, 2019).  From the lush green Pacific coast of Vancouver board VIA Rail’s The Canadian for an overnight train journey. Relax in the dome car and experience panoramic views of snow-capped mountains, glacial lakes, and the sheer unspoiled wilderness of Canada. Arrive in Jasper and witness alpine sights on-board the Jasper Skytram. See the dramatic Maligne Canyon and its picture-perfect lake where you enjoy breakfast with a view! Journey along the unforgettable Icefields Parkway. Stop at Athabascsa Glacier and choose from a Glacier Experience across this mass of glacier ice or take a walk on the Glacier Skywalk. Feel like royalty while overnighting at the fabulous Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, where you have your choice of included dinner venues. Discover the natural beauty of Moraine Lake, the powerful Bow Falls and impressive Hoodoos. End your tour in Calgary where it’s time for some rodeo fun as you take your seat at the exciting, world famous Calgary stampede!. 
 
The cost for a double room is $6749 (member rate), $6799 (non-member rate).  Single and triple rates are available. Book now and receive a $100 discount.  After January 4, 2019 space and pricing are subject to availability.  Prices include transportation from Carlisle to the Philadelphia airport, roundtrip air, lodging, sightseeing as per the itinerary and many meals.
 
Optional expenses include insurance ($385) and a variety of excursions. 
 
The trip is open to anyone and out of the area travelers can meet the group in Carlisle, at BWI(Baltimore) or inquire about rates to/from other airports.
