Brown Schultz Sheridan & Fritz Raises Over $3,500 to Benefit the United Way
of the Capital Region
Camp Hill, PA: Regional premier advisory firm, Brown Schultz Sheridan & Fritz (BSSF), raised $3,535 to benefit the United Way of the Capital Region through the BSSF 2022 Mini Golf Tournament.
The tournament was held on Wednesday, August 24, at BSSF’s Camp Hill office. 20 teams comprised of more than 80 players participated in the event, which featured 18 mini golf holes set up throughout the BSSF office building.
“We are thrilled to have raised over $3,500 to support the United Way’s vital community programs and services,” said Ken Wolfe, President and Managing Principal at BSSF. “Serving our community is a core component of our mission to help people achieve extraordinary outcomes, and the BSSF Mini Golf Tournament is always such a fun way for us to give back! We really enjoy spending time and having fun with our clients, team members and community partners at this event each year.”
Organizations participated in the BSSF Mini Golf Tournament by making donations to register players or sponsor a hole. Players could also purchase a “mulligan” (a chance to try a shot again) for a $5 donation. Additionally, the Wich Way Sandwiches food truck sold sandwiches and paninis to players on-site and donated 10% of its proceeds back to the United Way.
The success of this year’s mini golf tournament would not have been possible without the generosity of the organizations and individuals who sponsored the event. Those sponsors include Appalachian Insulation Supply, Inc.; Clelan and Company; Edwin L. Heim Company; Enginuity; Gunn-Mowery, LLC; Hershey’s Ice Cream; McNees Wallace & Nurick; Mellow Mink Brewing; Pennsylvania Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (PAMIC); Pizza Boy Brewing Co.; Schmidt Kramer PC; Wich Way Sandwiches; Wilsbach Distributors; Wix, Wenger & Weidner; BSSF Charitable Gift Fund; Jeshanah Fox, BSSF Marketing Director; BSSF Valuation & Litigation Consulting, LLC; Joe Cawley, CPA, CVA, BSSF Principal; Ken Wolfe, CPA, BSSF President and Managing Principal; and Lighthouse Wealth Management.
The mission of the United Way of the Capital Region is to move Dauphin, Cumberland and Perry County families forward by empowering their independence through access to health care, school readiness, workforce development and basic needs programs.
BSSF has been hosting its mini golf tournament to benefit the United Way of the Capital Region for over 10 years. The Firm has held workplace giving campaigns to support the United Way annually since its inception in 1990.
