Burkentine’s Family Legacy Initially a custom-home builder, Burkentine Real Estate Group has spent more than 30 years evolving as a company and building a reputation for quality work in the housing industry. The company was founded in 1989 by Paul and Rajean Burkentine and is now owned by their three sons. The company now includes several companies specializing in building, land development, residential and commercial rental properties, property management, and investment. Founder, Paul Burkentine had a motto for running the company to ‘focus on building a culture of happiness that inspires our employees and customers to challenge the status quo and allow families to live differently.’ That motto is still the driving force for second-generation owners, Michael, Bryan, and Bryce. Burkentine responded to the housing shortage in Pennsylvania by ramping up development of multifamily housing communities and employing local contractors. Over the last year, Burkentine has performed land development, design and construction for more than 1,500 multifamily and commercial units, including Wynfield Apartments and Townhouses, Riverside Foundry Apartments, Hadley Place Apartments, and Hudson Ridge Townhouses—its largest apartment building community to date.
