UPMC Pinnacle opens specialty offices in Carlisle 
 
Two new locations provide more access to breast care and endocrinology services in Cumberland County
 
CARLISLE, Pa. (November 16, 2018) –– UPMC Pinnacle recently announced the opening of two new specialty offices in Carlisle. UPMC Pinnacle Breast Cancer Care Center and UPMC Pinnacle Endocrinology make it more convenient for people in Cumberland County to access high-quality health care closer to home. 
 
UPMC Pinnacle Breast Care Center, located on Sprint Drive, offers comprehensive and convenient care for benign and cancerous breast disease. Surgeon Lisa Torp, MD, FACS, and Nurse Practitioner Beth Rudge, CRNP, partner with primary care physicians and patients to provide a full spectrum of care —from initial diagnosis to individualized treatment — in a caring and compassionate environment.  
 
Dr. Torp completed her residency at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and received her medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. Board-certified in surgery, she has dedicated her practice solely to breast care: breast health, prevention of disease, risk counseling, and surgical care of cancer and non-cancerous conditions. 
 
Ms. Rudge earned her master’s degree as a women’s health nurse practitioner from the University of Cincinnati. She received her nursing degree from York College of Pennsylvania. Ms. Rudge is a member of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Healthcare and the Pennsylvania Coalition of Nurse Practitioners.
 
UPMC Pinnacle Endocrinology’s new office is located on Alexander Spring Road. Practitioners Jose Galindo Jr., MD, FACE, and Donna J.K. Wright, MSN, FNP-BC, CDE, assist patients with diabetes, thyroid disease, pituitary gland disease, osteoporosis, and menopause using the most advanced technology with a patient-centered approach.
 
Dr. Galindo completed a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism at SUNY at Buffalo, Health Sciences Center, School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree at Centro De Estudios Tecnologicos in the Dominican Republic, and completed his residency at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo.
 
Ms. Wright completed her master’s degree in nursing at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, and her nursing degree at Virginia  Commonwealth University of the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. Ms. Wright is  board-certified family nurse practitioner with clinical experience in endocrinology settings as well as a certified diabetes educator and insulin pump therapist.
