Alyssa (Knisely) Holstay (also known as “ak”) resides in Carlisle with her husband, MAJ Ryan Holstay (PAARNG) and son, JJ. Alyssa graduated from Boiling Springs High School, obtained her BA in Political Science from Shippensburg University, and received her Juris Doctorate from The Widener Commonwealth School of Law. She has practiced as an attorney in in PA since 2007 in the areas of Criminal Law, Family Law, Administrative Law, and Child Welfare Law. Alyssa is a legal educator for US LawShield, a published author (“Doug the Dog Goes to the Beach”), and the founder and Executive Director of selflessservice, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization supporting active, reserve, and veteran members of the armed forces, first responders, and their families.
