The Boiling Springs High School Business Department is reaching out in search of community volunteers to assist us in conducting mock interviews with our freshmen careers classes. Many of you have graciously assisted us with this process previously (thank you!), while others may not be as familiar with the process.
To provide a brief background, in place of a final exam for our careers' classes, each student is required to conduct a mock interview with a volunteer employer from the community. For each volunteer employer, we will provide detailed instructions, possible interview questions (though you may create your own if you wish), and a rubric to be used to evaluate each student. Each interview typically lasts 5-7 minutes, and each interviewer would have no more than five students to interview. After the interviews are conducted, each employer is given the opportunity to provide information about his/her company, along with constructive feedback to the class, if desired. If you haven’t previously participated in this process and would like more detailed information prior to committing, please reach out.
We are looking for volunteers for three different timeslots on Wednesday, May 20th and Thursday, May 21st:
- 8:00- 9:30 AM
- 9:35-10:45 AM
- 11:35-12:45 PM
The interviews will take place in the high school library at 21 Academy Street, Boiling Springs, PA 17007.
