Patriots’ Path to be Unveiled June 30:
Walk through History at 39 Local Sites
The Army Heritage Center Foundation has united with community partners to unveil Patriots’ Path, a newly curated Revolutionary War Trail that provides visitors with a narrative of how Cumberland Valley residents – civilians and soldiers – played crucial roles in shaping Pennsylvania’s Revolutionary identity for the Nation’s 250th birthday. The path is free and self-guided and will remain a permanent fixture for the area.

Patriots’ Path points of interest include
- The Old Public Graveyard in Carlisle, with famed female soldier Molly Pitcher’s statue overlooking the resting site
- Courthouse Square in Carlisle, PA
- Thomas Butler’s Gun Shop
- The U.S. Army Heritage and Education Center
- Shippensburg University Fashion Archives and Museum
- Cumberland County History Society
- Dill’s Tavern and Eichelberger’s Distillery
- Hampden Township Veterans Memorial Park

WHY: Carlisle and surrounding areas have a rich history that is often hidden or unknown. Patriots’ Path tells the stories of our earliest pioneers and how central PA came to play a starring role in the Fight for Independence.
