Our Presenters from West Shore Toastmasters Club 227
Ellen Demaree, ACS/CL - Key Presenter
Ellen Demaree has been with West Shore Toastmasters since 1993. She has served her Club in multiple leadership roles over the years. One of Ellen’s greatest pleasures as a Toastmaster has been watching new members grow from being too shy to speak a few words, to vocally sharing their thoughts and ideas with confidence. Because of their participation in Toastmasters’ time tested educational program, members have increased job prospects, enjoyed community involvement, and fulfilled various personal goals, all within her Club’s warm and supportive atmosphere.
Yvonne Troy, CC - Key Presenter
Yvonne Troy came to Toastmasters in 2008, terrified of public speaking. She says that she was so nervous giving her first speech, that she almost got sick. In her own words, “my club was very helpful and encouraged me. I became less terrified with every speech I gave.” Yvonne has given 10 speeches and recently earned Toastmasters’ Competent Communicator educational designation. She is much more comfortable with public speaking today, and is looking forward to sharing the program with presentation participants.
Charlie Liebert, ACB
Charlie Liebert is President of Susquehanna Ice Breakers Toastmasters in Enola. In 1994, he retired from a long career in industry to take up speaking, teaching and writing. He helped found Carolina Christian Toastmasters in Greensboro, NC, in 2013. Charlie has conducted over 100 workshops and seminars for children and adults, some of which appeared in a weekly TV program that aired for 10 years. At age 70, in 2012 he began writing, and published 3 books and 5 items on Amazon Kindle.
David Bennett ATM-G/CL
David Bennett has been a member of Toastmasters since 1995. He has thoroughly enjoyed the friendship and support he has received from members in the various clubs in which he has been a member. Currently active with the “Now Hear This” club at the Naval Support Activity in Mechanicsburg, David has joined clubs in Carlisle and Washington DC, as well as Addis Abba Ethiopia and Abidjan Ivory Coast. Being a Toastmaster has given David solid insights into effective communication and wide-ranging leadership skills.
