We appreciated receiving 85 responses on this important topic and received these results:
"Other" responses:
- Business obstacles for downtown retailers
- Lack of leadership in the financial industry
- Crime/safe walking streets downtown
- More events in Carlisle
- Traffic concerns
- Housing for lower income families and young adults

Some additional ideas that members shared about what the CBEF should focus on were:
- expanding the use of the fairgrounds and adding a convention center
- traffic control
- downtown Carlisle focus (ex. prominent directional signs to the parking lots, trimming trees that obstruct businesses from view)
- diversion of I-81 traffic from downtown because of the effect on downtown business
- educating people on what jobs are available and training individuals to fill those jobs to allow for continued business expansion
- creative workforce development solutions involving affordable childcare and transportation options

- creating new, innovative, and alternative business
- small business growth and development
