9th Annual Cumberland County LEPC Summit

The Cumberland County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC), invites you to attend the 2026 LEPC Summit on October 22, 2026, at the Carlisle Evangelical Free Church, 290 Petersburg Rd. Carlisle, PA.  Registration and Continental Breakfast will begin at approximately 07:45am and the event will conclude at approximately 3:30pm.

Some of the responsibilities of a County LEPC, under the “Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act” (SARA) of 1986, are to do educational outreach, and to develop and promote local emergency preparedness programs. One of the ways that the Cumberland County LEPC does this is by conducting an annual Summit.

The Summit is free for attendees and is funded exclusively by our generous sponsors and the LEPC.

This one-day conference brings together county businesses/facilities, safety managers, emergency management, firefighters, law enforcement, EMS personnel, local/state government, and more in a collaborative and educational environment.

Designed to allow each of these diverse communities to interface before an emergency occurs, the Summit is the place to learn about relevant topics in today’s safety-oriented world.

This year’s theme is “Planning Today, Protecting Tomorrow” and will feature several worthwhile presentations and training sessions from our dynamic speakers.

Both a continental breakfast and lunch will be provided for attendees.
