Celebrate the musical and cultural contributions of Nobel Prize for Literature winner and iconic figure in the world of music Bob Dylan. Songs, commentaries, images, and some lyrics will be shared. Dylan has recorded more than 600 songs but we can only share about 25, including: "Blowing in the Wind," "Tangled Up in Blue," "All Along the Watchtower," "Forever Young," "A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall," "Masters of War," "Shelter from the Storm," etc. Audience participation is encouraged. All are welcome! Guitarist, singer, and West Chester University professor Doug Morris will present this program.
Doug Morris (Ph.D., Penn State) teaches in the world of critical pedagogy at West Chester University, is a former jazz guitarist, is a singer, composer, and performer of "people's songs," and has written about Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Bruce Springsteen, and others in the tradition of "people's music."
