Carlisle Young Professionals is excited to offer its next Professional Development Event, “Speak So They Listen” Public Speaking Workshop. This event will take place at the Carlisle Area Chamber of Commerce board room and will be taught by a leader in the industry, Heather Hockenberry! A little about the event: While the fear of public speaking plagues most people, having a solid understanding of how to approach a speech may offer a bit of confidence. Together, participants will explore how to choose a speech topic, how to structure your speech, and how to use appropriate nonverbal cues to look and sound confident in every speech. What about more impromptu speaking situations? Heather will address those too – with tips and tricks for how to tackle the unexpected with poise and professionalism. This is a CYP Professional Development Event – Join us and become a more professional version of You!
A little about Heather Hockenberry: Heather Hockenberry, from Hockenberry Management Consulting, partners with companies and their leaders to achieve business and professional growth. Through various methods and customized approaches, the Hockenberry team helps companies create effective business strategies, marketing and communication plans, process improvements, culture change, and more.
