February 6: Photographs & Memories of the Little Red Schoolhouse
Between the ridges of the Blue Mountains and the crystalline water of the Yellow Breeches Creek, one-room schoolhouses of yesteryear dot the landscape of Cumberland County. By the latter half of the 19th century, more than 160 one-room schools were operating throughout the region. Join us for a talk given by the Cumberland County Historical Society's Associate Archivist, Jennifer Patel, exploring the schools that educated generations of children in rural Cumberland County.
