Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland & Perry Counties (DVSCP) is inviting men throughout the community to come together for a meaningful conversation about the role they can play in preventing domestic violence and supporting survivors at the agency's upcoming Men Meeting the Moment Luncheon on Thursday, October 15, at Carlisle Country Club.
This inaugural luncheon will bring together community leaders, business professionals, first responders, educators, faith leaders, and other men who are committed to building safer families and stronger communities. Guests will enjoy lunch while hearing from keynote speaker and author Robert Attaway, followed by a panel discussion exploring practical ways men can help prevent domestic violence, promote healthy relationships, and become allies for survivors.
The panel will feature Dr. Marcellus Taylor, Manager of Inclusion and Culture at The GIANT Company; Hampden Township Chief of Police Jason Yerg; Dr. Sam Benbow, Professor at Shippensburg University; and Tom Kaden, Co-Founder of Someone To Tell It To. Together, they will share their unique perspectives on the important role men can play in creating lasting, positive change.
Domestic violence affects individuals of every age, race, socioeconomic status, and background. While anyone can experience abuse, engaging men as allies is a critical step in preventing violence before it begins.
The Men's Luncheon will be held on Thursday, October 15, from 11:00am – 1:30pm at Carlisle Country Club. Registration is $25 per person, and tickets can be purchased here: tinyurl.com/menslunch2026. Event sponsorship opportunities are also available at the same link.
