Inspirational Lessons from Around the Globe
We are excited to have local author, Sherry Knowlton as our speaker for this spring's Women for Women program. Sherry Knowlton is the author of the Alexa Williams suspense novels: Dead of Autumn, Dead of Summer, Dead of Spring, Dead of Winter and Dead on the Delta. Knowlton’s career included positions in Pennsylvania State Government, concluding with several years as Deputy Secretary for the Medical Assistance Program. Her private sector years were spent in executive positions in the Medicaid/Medicare managed care field with Independence Blue Cross and AmeriHealth Mercy Health Plan. Now rewriting retirement, Knowlton writes, travels, and does occasional health care consulting.
A graduate of Dickinson College, she lives in the mountains outside Carlisle, PA. For more information about Sherry, visit www.sherryknowlton.com. You can also follow Knowlton on Facebook @sherry.knowltonbooks, Instagram at www.instagram.com/sherryknowltonbooks, and Twitter @KnowltonSBooks.
Sherry Knowlton and her husband, Mike, began their journey together in the days of peace and music, traversing the country in a hippie van. They continue to embrace the travel experience, exploring far-flung places around the world. During those journeys, Knowlton has become an advocate for travel as a vehicle for broadening personal horizons, bridging differences, and sparking the sheer joy of stepping into the unknown. She will share some stories of her journeys and talk about how her love for Africa led to her latest book, Dead on the Delta. Knowlton will also share stories and anecdotes that she regards as inspirational lessons from around the globe.
