Carlisle Family YMCA Celebrates Ribbon Cutting of New Aquatic Center

[CARLISLE, FEBRUARY 13, 2026] – The Carlisle Family YMCA officially cut the ribbon Friday, January 30 on 
its new Carlisle YMCA Aquatic Center, marking a significant milestone for the organization and the greater 
Carlisle community.
Community leaders, partners, donors and members gathered to celebrate the opening of the facility, which 
will serve as the new home for the Y’s competitive swim and water polo programs. The dedicated space 
provides expanded opportunities for athletes to train and compete, while also increasing overall swim lesson 
capacity by freeing up pool time at the YMCA’s main facility.
“This still feels a little unreal,” said Carlisle Family YMCA CEO Michele Holloway. “This pool is now ours 
because of the incredible support of our community, partners, donors and champions. We are so grateful—
and so excited—for all the splashes, memories and lives that will be impacted here for years to come.”
By relocating competitive aquatics to the new center, the Y now can expand swim lessons, aquatic fitness 
classes and additional programming at its primary branch—strengthening its commitment to youth 
development, healthy living and social responsibility. The new Aquatic Center represents both a competitive 
advantage for local athletes and a broader investment in community access to water safety and wellness 
opportunities.
The event began with a Breakfast Mixer co-sponsored by Allen Distribution in partnership with the Carlisle 
Area Chamber of Commerce. Guests enjoyed refreshments from Helena’s Chocolate Café & Creperie while 
celebrating the milestone.
The YMCA expressed its appreciation to the many donors and community members who made the Aquatic 
Center purchase possible.
