Fund the Firehouse with Carlisle Auctions in the Spring of 2025 Donate Your Car Today to Sell at Auction – Proceeds Benefit Carlisle Fire & Rescue Services

CARLISLE, PA – The Spring Carlisle Collector Car Auction brings the Carlisle Expo Center to life on Thursday and Friday, April 24th and 25th, and right now, you can make a difference; here’s how. The Carlisle Auctions team is actively seeking vehicles to be donated and auctioned off at no reserve to Fund the Firehouse.  A generous donation like that is tax-deductible and supports Carlisle Fire & Rescue Services, a 501(c)(3) organization. 100% percent of your vehicle’s sale will directly benefit them as they support the Carlisle community.

Fund the Firehouse is a program championed by Carlisle Events/Carlisle Auctions co-owner Bill Miller and directly supports Carlisle Fire & Rescue, located near both the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds and the Carlisle Expo Center. Funding for this and most other firehouses come directly from the local community, so it’s only fitting that we encourage the Carlisle community to rally together in support of these heroes who answer the call during a time of need, especially when seconds matter.

“Our community understands the need to fund first responders, but those who have faced a crisis firsthand understand it most,” said Jason Ramey of Carlisle Auctions. “We don’t always realize the importance until it becomes personal. In an emergency, knowing our firehouse is properly funded and equipped is reassuring. It’s never too late to support these heroes.  If you have a vehicle you no longer need, consider donating it to this vital cause. If not, a tax-deductible cash donation can also make a difference,” concluded Ramey.

The cost of specialized gear utilized by first responders is more than $20,000, and the cost of just one fire truck far exceeds $1 million. Let’s not forget, there’s also operational expenses and hours and hours of specialized training required to go into a burning building.  Our goal is to change that.  Afterall, no one thinks of this as they drive by their local fire hall or when they dial 911 for help. The help, the equipment, and their skills are just always there.

At Carlisle Auctions, we want to ensure everything remains in place for when the call is made, and that’s why we’ve been spending time with the Carlisle Fire & Rescue Services team to learn firsthand what it takes to be a first responder.  We encourage you to like and follow the Carlisle Auctions Facebook page to meet these amazing people and see the latest behind the scenes content, including a brief interview with firefighter Rhys Eastham.

There’s no shortage of ways these funds can make a difference so donate today, if possible, either with a vehicle or make a monetary donation.  Remember, both are tax deductible.
