Military Leader to Deliver Book Talk on How to Become an ''Iron-Sharpened'' Leader

 
 
Local Military Leader with 40 Years in Uniform to Share His Secrets to Successful Leadership Friday    
 
 
 Maj. Gen. John L. Gronski (U.S. Army, Ret.) will summarize a lifetime of lessons in a free book talk Friday afternoon sponsored by the Army Heritage Center Foundation.   Deputy Adjutant General of Veterans Affairs Maureen Weigl of Harrisburg will also be on hand to introduce Gen. Gronski and greet guests.
 
Gen. Gronski led 5,000 soldiers in Ramadi, Iraq in 2005-2006 and 15,000 soldiers as commanding general of the 28^th Infantry Division. A veteran of the Iraq War, he served from 1978 to 2019 and earned two Army Distinguished Service Medals, two awards of the Legion of Merit, and the Bronze Star Medal.
 
In addition to his book Iron-Sharpened Leadership, he wrote two other nonfiction books and operates a leadership consulting business, Leader Grove, LLC.
