The Carlisle VFW is sponsoring a First Responder Appreciation Night on 11 May 2024 at the Carlisle Expo Center. Over 200 local police officers, firefighters, EMTs and 911 Dispatchers are invited to an evening that includes a BBQ dinner, a DJ, and short speeches from local leaders.
To allow local businesses to show their appreciation for our first responder heroes, we will be announcing door prizes throughout the event, and the name of the business sponsoring the prize. We invite you to provide a door prize (gift card, gift basket, etc.). We do ask that these door prizes be valued at $25 or more. Your name will be announced, showing your support of these fine men and women in our community.
We are also looking for monetary donations to defray the cost of this event. If you would be interested in making a donation, please make the check out to Corporal Orlando Newcomer VFW Post 477.
Please contact me if you are interested in participating. The deadline for submitting donations and prizes is 9 May 2024, but obviously we'd like to get donations sooner if possible.
