Pending regulatory approval, the Price to Compare will change Dec. 1 to 14.428 cents/kWh for residential customers and 12.335 cents/kWh for small business customers. This is the default supply rate customers pay if they receive their electricity supply through PPL Electric rather than choosing a competitive supplier.
We know every dollar matters. That’s why we’re communicating directly with customers about this change and, importantly, connecting them with tools and resources to help manage their energy costs.
Customers can:
- Find ways to manage their bill through our Bill Toolkit, including budget billing, PPL Alerts, energy-saving resources and payment assistance.
- Get help paying their bill through programs including OnTrack, Operation HELP, WRAP and LIHEAP.
- Compare electricity supply options by using the Price to Compare as a benchmark and carefully reviewing competitive supplier offers through PA Power Switch.
From January through September 2026, we helped connect and enroll nearly 100,000 customers in PPL Electric assistance programs. We’re continuing to reach customers who may need help and connect them with assistance before they fall behind.
Please consider sharing our Bill Toolkit with your constituents. It brings our bill-management, energy-saving and assistance resources together in one place. The website address is pplelectric.com/toolkit.
